Overview

X Deck is a Chrome extension that provides a multi-column keyword monitoring interface for X (x.com). This policy describes how the extension handles user data.

Data We Do Not Collect

X Deck does not collect, transmit, or share any personal information. The extension does not track browsing activity, search queries, or any user behavior.

Data Stored Locally

The following information is stored locally on your device using chrome.storage.local and never leaves it:

  • · Keywords you have added to the deck
  • · Which columns are currently open or closed
  • · UI preferences such as column width, color theme, and language

This data is used solely to restore your deck layout between sessions. It is not accessible to any server or third party.

Permissions

The extension requests the following permissions, each used only as described:

  • storage — saves keywords and preferences locally on your device
  • tabs — opens or focuses the deck tab; does not read other tabs
  • declarativeNetRequest — removes iframe-blocking response headers on x.com so search columns can be displayed
  • Host access to x.com / twitter.com — required to inject the deck interface and apply network rules on x.com pages

Third-Party Content

X Deck embeds x.com pages inside iframes to display search results. The extension does not intercept or modify the content of those pages. Your use of x.com within the extension is governed by X's own terms and privacy policy.

Changes

If this policy is updated, the revised version will be published at this URL with an updated date.
